I'm building this deck cause I want to have something for locals when I go there in the new year sometime. This deck is going to suck nuts, but I don't really care, because I just want to check out the competitive scene, and get a player ID and shit like that. (I kinda want to take the Professor Program exam)

CARD REVIEW 09/19/11 - Light Arcanine (NEO DESTINY 12/105)
Let me start off by saying that Light Arcanine's artwork is one of my favourites in the TCG. It displays a gentle grace that you would have come to expect from both Arcanine and the Light series of Pokemon. The stylistic roses in the background, hidden behind the holofoil are very subtle, but prominent.
STATS:
Light Arcanine follows the path set for Light Pokemon, with its seemingly less harmful attacks. Its Pokemon Power, Drive Off, is literally the more aggressive of the two techniques this card can use, as it allows you to force your opponent to switch the Defending Pokemon with one of their Benched Pokemon. Gentle Flames, requiring 2 Fire and 1 Colorless Energy, is as intimidating as it sounds. Base 50 damage, but Baby Pokemon only take 10 damage from this attack, and Basic Pokemon take 30. This attack is best used on your opponent's Stage 1's and 2's, in order to utilize full power.
A Water weakness is standard for Fire Pokemon. Light Arcanine has no resistance, and costs 2 Energies to retreat. I think that with Light Pokemon, being the cute and cuddly forms that they are, should probably have defaulted to 1 Energy to retreat, but since Arcanine is a large Pokemon, they felt that the retreat cost should be "proportional," for lack of a better term.
PLAYABILITY:
Light Arcanine would be neutral against decks that run a lot of Stage 1's and 2's, but its real skill comes in its Pokemon Power. Drive Off is great for forcing your opponent to pull out those lower level Pokemon, and even though Gentle Flames would only do 30 to a basic, your opponent would have to pay the R/C for their new Basic which now has 30 damage on it, or you may have even knocked it out by weakness.
And though it is very rare to see decks like this, a deck running a lot of Basic's could potentially fend it off, although I don't believe Pokemon in the old days had Fire resistances. So if you could keep cycling your Pokemon quickly, play a lot of Potions and such, you could stack Energies to a Stage 1 or 2, and get a quick hit on Light Arcanine.
OVERALL:
Light Arcanine is a very good card, and I believe I would run at least 2 in a Light deck, if I played back in the Neo format. Great artwork, very playable effects. The only drawback is the effect of Gentle Flames, and that could be negated by playing a Plus Power.

Downtown Vlog v2
Hey everyone. I know that a couple weeks ago, I did a downtown vlog, but it was very crude and the weather was bad, so I decided to wait until I knew exactly what I was doing. So in this post, I will give you an itinerary of my plan for this morning. As of writing this, it is 1:04 am on Thursday, August 25.
9:05 am - wake up, breakfast, shower, etc.
9:30 am - bus downtown
9:45 am - arrive downtown
9:55 am - bank, assessing funds
10:05 am - arrive at Zellers
10:15 am - card purchase complete
10:20 am - arrive at Play n Trade video games
10:30 am - consultation about a job position, and the possibility of bringing the Pokemon TCG to the store.
10:40 am - 11:10 am - tool around downtown until departing for the bus, buy a new notebook
11:15 am - bus home
11:30 am - arrive home
11:40 am - 11:50 am - opening video, pull BW Pikachu
12 pm - begin video upload; finish time depends on length of video
So there you have it, my 3 hour itinerary.
I will be bringing my old school binders with me to Play n Trade, in case they want to see them.
It is now 1:12 am, and I am done. Hooray for planning ahead!

AMAZO THE RAFFLE! Holos, reverse holos, and a custom deck!
That's right! My second raffle will feature a wonderful selection of holos, some of which from my personal collection, some from my trade binder; along with a handful of reverse holos, and a CUSTOM deck. I cannot tell you what type it is, or how playable it is, but it will be a custom deck, and I will explain that later.
Currently, I have no idea how many subscribers I will need for this raffle, but I know that I will be pretty damn big, although not as big as my 500 subscriber raffle, but that's a long ways into the future.

I care to explain. My parents, being divorced like a large percentage of North American families, are the ones who provide me with cameras. The one I have been using recently is my mom's, and my dad's webcam is broken, and will only record audio leading me to record the radio show. Long story short, as soon as I'm at my mom's, I will record the results.
Also, I will mention this in the results video, but I am retiring the 100 subscriber raffle. It was a mistake to introduce two raffles at once. I'm going to be trading around for a while to get some stuff for my old school collection, so maybe sometime in September I will have another one.
I am horrible at organizing my ideas, but I have two more things. One is about cameras, qnd the other about a new raffle.
Anyway, I am looking into buying a Flip MiniHD pocket camcorder thing, because I'm not saving up to get an amazing real HD camcorder, plus I have a car to buy off my mom, and school future to support, so a Flip camcorder will be fine. I'll do another article about my new raffle after I post this.

First PGP Dev Diary: Story and Early Development
Hello everyone, and welcome to my PGP dev diary. PGP is the codename for my Pokemon game, so stick with me, and eventually, I will reveal the identity of the GP.
In the meantime, join me as I request assistance from you all, and reveal some Pokemon that I have designed!
I currently have a PokeDex containing 90 Pokemon, which I thought was going to be the final edition of it, but then I realized that in order to be a fresh start, I'm going to need about 40 more. Luckily, in the first run of Pokemon conception, I envisioned around 180 Pokemon!
So I don't know what you guys would like to know about the game. It introduces a new evil team, which I am considering renaming, but I will stick with it for the sake of this article. Come to think of it, I can't remember off the top of my head what the aim of this team is, but it has something to do with freedom and fair treatment of Pokemon and whatnot, similar to Team Plasma's ideals.
I can tell you that there is a touch of incarnations embedded into the story somehow, and you will all find out very soon. I can also tell you that it involves the player and his rival. Screw it, I'll reveal the premise right now.
"Hundreds of years before the events of the game, there was a young man named Mada. He had always been relatively aggressive towards others, until one day, he was pushed over the edge, at which time he seized control of his small town. A few years later, a boy was born, a Pokemon prodigy some may say. He excelled at all sorts of tournaments, and at the age of 10, the community approached him. Mada was seeking to exterminate every Pokemon in the vicinity of the town, and the residents couldn't bear to lose their friends and life partners."
They persuaded the boy to challenge Mada to a battle in the castle's court. After an intense few hours of battling, and a spectacular finish, the dust and smoke cleared. Neither of them were to be seen. The townspeople grieved and rejoiced simultaneously. They had lost their greatest hero, but were rid of their greatest fear. The town was eventually abandoned because of the sadness associated with it, and the story of the hero eventually ran dry, and everyone forgot about it. But their spirits lived on, and to this day, no one knows where they are..."
Pretty good, eh? (Canadian cliche ftw!) Anyway, I hope you enjoyed the opening cutscene, presented in glorious text-o-vision!

New Decklists are Approaching! Quick, throw your Kingdra prime and Exploud evolution line cards at them!
That's right, I am building two new decks.
Aquatropics: A Water/ Grass build that will require a Kingdra prime, along with a ton of modern Horsea and Seadra cards. The only ones I have are from Fossil :P
Fossil Gig: A build centered around fossil Pokemon (Kabutops, Armaldo) and the Exploud line.
Once I get my trade binder up, I will be wanting cards that can be used in these decks. Fuck competitive builds, I like the ones with funny names!
The initials for my Colorless/ Fire build are BB. It's kinda ironic cause the first B stands for a word that is a synonym of lame (probably), and the other B represents a word that involves flames, and crackling wood and pine needles and shit.
I will have four decks hopefully by Christmas, th3n 1 c4n br4g 2 a11 0f mah fr13ndz!!1!1!!!1!!!
